Multiple Teams · Soccer Season Update


The Boys Soccer team is currently 5-4-2 after wrapping up the first half of the season and are looking to getting into Hacienda League action to defend their league title. Victor De La Cruz has been the offensive standout thus far, as he leads the team with 9 goals and also has contributed 2 assists. Joseph Fuentes has also been a key contributor as he has filled for injured teammates and has played many different positions. The boys take on Bishop Amat this week before taking on Diamond Ranch in the league opener next week. The boys shared the league title with Diamond Ranch last year so the league opener is crucial to both teams chances of repeating as league champs.

The Girls Soccer team has struggled to find consistency this season as they are dealing with injuries and learning to play with different lineups. With a handful of victories under their belt and a few ties, the Lady Conquerors are excited to get into league play to defend their league title. The offense as been led so far by Senior Allexxis Hand and newcomer Vanessa Johnson. Returning players Julie Garcia and Audrey Ochoa have stepped up on defense while All-Area performer Camryn Verduzco is out with an injury. The 2nd half of the season begins this week with a showdown with crosstown rival Wilson, before the league opener next Wednesday vs. Diamond Ranch.
