The Los Altos Track & Field program is feeling excited for multiple reasons this Spring. The team is obviously excited to compete and take part in meets and invitationals but this season is extra special because of the new facility they get to compete on. For the first time in 8 years, Los Altos was able to host a track meet on campus. The old grass field and dirt track with chalk lines has been replaced by the turf field and modern rubber track.
Los Altos had the privilege of hosting the annual Tri-Meet with La Puente and Wilson to open the track season and has taken part in multiple events since then. Thursday marked the beginning of the league season in which Los Altos hosted Diamond Ranch. The events went off without a hitch as all of the athletes showed tremendous support for their teammates in all the days events. After all was said and done, the Conquerors emerged victorious on all 3 levels that competed. The Frosh/Soph Boys Team won 65-35, the Varsity Girls Team won 99-35 and the Varsity Boys Team won 88-43. Definitely a good day to be a Conqueror.
