The Lady Conquerors Softball team wrapped up their second consecutive Hacienda League Title and finished with the best regular season record in school history. The team finished the season with a 26-2 record and for the second straight season went undefeated, 10-0, in league play. The girls are winners of 17 in a row and haven’t lost a game since the middle of March.
This season the team has shown itself worthy of the Division 1 placement as they have knocked off one team after another. The only two losses this season have come against two of the top teams in the country in Norco and Orange Lutheran. The Lady Conquerors will likely have to match up with one of those teams again when the Division 1 playoffs commence. In addition to their record, this years squad has put together some impressive numbers. The team outscored their opponents 199-46, racked up 10 shutout victories, and threw 3 no-hitters including 1 perfect game. The girls will find out what the road to a championship looks like on Monday when the CIF brackets are released. Given their status as one of the top teams in the division and a league champion, the girls should have a home game on Thursday but their will be no slouches in Division 1 so every game is sure to be a battle.
